"Alma do Deserto" is an observational documentary that draws the portrait of Georgina, a transgender Wayúu woman, who after spending decades in solitary exile, crosses the desert of La Guajira, Colombia, seeking to reconcile with her family. Feeling alone and sick in old age, she decides to look for her relatives in order to try to heal the wounds, not knowing how she will be received by those who are still alive.
